Completed: Reno done in 4 days in December 2020
What do you do when you are in between renovations and waiting for a settlement to come through? Why you renovate a clients laundry in 4 days while they take a short break, of course.
Mary wanted a functional laundry. Her current one wasn’t meeting her needs and it wasn’t a happy place to be in. Her brief was “I would love a bench and lots of cupboard space and I only have a limited budget. Oh and hubby must like it too.”
So we mocked up a design and determined a price. Working with the client, we revised the design by making smart choices for cabinetry, benchtops, tapware, sink and tiles to fit within her budget. Once the design and budget were approved, off we went.
First the laundry was stripped clean - out with the dated tub and tiled splashback. It then got a good wash with sugar soap, then a fresh coat of paint on the walls, the doors and trims were still in good condition so just gave them a good clean – this also saved time and money. Then it’s in with the new cabinetry and benchtop. Awesome Spanish tiles for the splashback. Connected all the plumbing items – front loader, new tapware and sink. There you have it – a new laundry in 4 days – just in time for the owners return home.
A picture is worth a thousand words – I think we can say that our client was very happy with her new laundry.
